yah anon, many people are affected by living together before marriage in this way. Others are not. Better to be safe than sorry, huh?

I think living together before marriage is one of the worst things I ever did.

Why? Because it simply ruined the adventure of sharing a household and I do believe on a spiritual level it brought some "demons" along into the marriage.

If we could do it all over again, my husband and I agree we would not have lived together first. We also think it slowed down our decision to marry. We were comfortable and began taking the relationship for granted.

It wasn't until I moved to another city that it dawned on both of us that we would die without each other.

We were married 12 years ago.
