How on earth did I miss this! I don’t know if it’s because we’re in the midst of planning our renewal vows, if it’s because I like weddings, if it’s because I believe in love and the power of marriage, or what, but this had me crying by the end. This guy did an 8-hour proposal to his girlfriend, set up in 10 different rooms at the Ritz. In each room was family members wishing them well, and rose petals, the whole works. At the end he asked her to marry him and she said yes!
The Engagement of Robert Gray & Keisha Williams April 2007
I’m super late seeing as how the proposal took place in 2007, but this was just so beautiful to me, I wanted to share it with ya’ll. What a lovely couple, I wish them so much love and happiness together. This is just beautiful. What a wonderful gift to his wife to be!
Also to give some update on our wedding renewal plans. My dream is some tropical island early summer (heeeeee!) but seeing as how just one plane ticket to such would cost more than what we’re going to pay to lay in the basement to our new house, I’m content with having it on one of the beaches by Lake Erie. The date is either June 20th or 27th. I-bop is helping me make my dress (it’s going to be cream with cowrie shells sewn along the hem and bodice) and will be one of my bridesmaids, and Brian is renting a tux and our sons will be 2 of his groomsmen. I’m vacillating on having the reception right there at the lake under one of the pavilions, but that might be too tacky for both our families. *sigh* So I’d better start the rounds of finding a reception spot! Time to get MIL involved. I would love to have this guy photograph our ceremony, but I checked his site and his prices start at $6,000, have mercy. That is a lot of house for us, you don’t even know.
Oh! for our renewal honeymoon we are going to Montreal for a weekend
